Bottle of Stories (51)

Minutes have passed since Cy departed. All of them are finished eating except Annie.

"I need to go back. I have tons of stuff that needs to be done," said Dan.

"Then go. The small girl might be mad at you," Justine replied.

He laughed in return. "Thanks for the treat."

Justine nodded.

Dan waved his hand before walking away.

"Cy is taking too long," Annie annoyingly said.

"Let's just wait," said Justine.

"Can I ask something?" asked Rey. "I saw you holding a gun so I thought that the sound we hear when we're waiting is from the gun."

"Spit it out."

"The truth of what really happened."

"There is a dog who is often with his master. The dog always saves his master when she'll do something that can result in harming herself. He tried to communicate with his master about it but she can't understand him."

"Are you the characters," asked Rey.

Justine put his index finger in front of his mouth and nodded.

"One day, his master didn't take him for a walk. He searched for her everywhere. When he felt hungry, he returned to his home.

"His master welcomed him. She is holding a broom. The dog won't know why she'll hold such a thing at nighttime. His master raised her hand like she's going to attack. The dog dodged. His Master was about to attack again so the dog dashed to his master. He pushed her making her fall.

"The dog didn't have thought that his master can do that thing. He wanted payback. He wanted to bite her but what he did is to bark many times."

"Even so, her feelings were hurt," said Annie while not looking at Justine.

Justine smiled for a moment. "I know you heard what I said to her. I never thought that she has feelings. For me, she is an object that is made to make people's life easier."

"No. She has feelings."

Rey thinks about what he's going to say next. He remembered that Zhein likes to smile but there's more, "She cried awhile ago."

"That was Cy."

"But..."

"She has the reason to cry," added Jayson. He is not mad anymore because he realized something.

Rey noticed it so he let him be.

Justine felt the vibration of his phone. He gets it from his jean's pocket and looked at the message that was sent by Cy.

"What about you fought a while ago?"

"They are the reason why his master did that." Justine gets the tissue that is not used.

He started writing on that tissue. Rey doesn't know where his ballpen came from.

Justine slid the tissue with money that has a value of Php 100.00. "I've already answered all of your questions." He stood. "It's safer if we'll end here," he said as his voice fades.

"Look at that handwrite," Annie commented.

"We have no choice. We need to go there."

"We might get lost," said Annie.

"Let's follow him," Jayson suggested.

"Wait, don't. I have an idea," said Rey.

"What's your idea?" a different voice asked. "You forgot your clothes." George reached the uniform of Annie.

"Thank you," said Annie without looking at the eyes of George.

"Looking for him?" asked Jayson to George

"Who?" whispered Annie.

"Sir Justine," replied Rey.

"He goes that way." Jayson pointed.

"Thanks," said George, and leave.

Jayson waited for the presence to vanish before asking. "What is the plan?"

He asked a lot of people to know where they can find the address that is written on the paper. There is a woman who said that they should only go to the tricycle station and tell the given address because it is only near.

"That is her house?" asked Jayson.

"No, we'll ride that to go to her house," said Rey.

After the ride, they go outside the vehicle. Jayson becomes dizzy while the others are fine.

"At last!" He raised his both hands as a sign of achievement.

"It's up to you. Jayson and I will wait for you here."

He crossed the road. After that, he made a noise by tapping the gate.

Cy went out like she waited a while ago just for that knocking on the gate. She gave the cap that they wanted to catch up on even she did not know the reason.

Rey thanked her before going back to his friends.

"Here it is." He showed his palms with the cap.

"Let's go home."
