Bottle of Stories (64)

"Jayson, wake up! You slept for too long and now you are sixteen years old," said the voice of the guardian.

He was lying on a wooden floor. He raised himself and set aside his blanket. "What is it this time?" He did a facepalm and brushed his hair only to realize that its length reaches his waist. "This is too long! I don't want this!"

"Come on, you look more handsome with long hair! You look like the rapper I know."

"Rap... what? What is happening? Why your hair..."

"Speak one word about my hair. You will never wake up from this dream again." He crossed his arms and looked at the open window "We changed our plan now so we will not go through everything but we fast forward three years from yesterday."

The door opened and revealed a girl with long wavy hair. "Good morning. My name is Lealyn and I'm the owner of this hut. Sorry for not showing up I just arrived today."

Jayson was baffled that the little girl he saw yesterday is taller now.

"Oh, I should have knocked first. I did not know that you wake up at 8 because everyone here wakes up at 6."

"Nah, only Jayson because he slept at midnight," the Guardian responded.

"You look familiar. So Jayson was your name! Do you still remember me?" she asked enthusiastically.

Jayson nodded in approval.

"I cannot believe it. You visited us again. Back then you just disappeared after one day. My parents only got a chance to say goodbye. My parents are not here right now but do not worry, they will be back soon and they will be happy to see you again."

"Where did they go?" Jayson asked.

"On the Ground." She chuckled. "Maybe."

Jayson and the guardian of dreams looked at each other with their eyebrows furrowed.

"How about we go to our house and I will make breakfast for us? I will just leave my items here." She put her sling bag beside the door. "Bring your things too because I think it is too crowded here and I have to clean this place too."

"I will help with the cleaning," Jayson volunteered.

"No, you don't have to."

After their morning meal at Lealyn's house, Jayson decided to go near the barn. He expected that Kid would be there and he wanted to confirm if he has grown.

"Boo!" Kid revealed his head at the field of tall grass. He did not change. He is still the same kid he saw, unlike Lealyn who changed a lot. "I heard the same footstep before so I decided to surprise you!" he shouted from afar.

He walked away from the grass but he suddenly tripped himself. Jayson tried to run towards Kid but he already fell into the ground.

Jayson assisted him in standing.

"Thank you. Have you come to tell me about your journey, Mister?"

"Why do you always insist on hearing about it? It is nothing interesting," he said in excuse because he never traveled in this world from the start.

"Please, tell me. I do not want you to leave me again without telling anything." He sat down and crossed his legs waiting for Jayson to speak.

Jayson had to get through this so he sat down and try to come up with the best story he can make.
