Bottle of Stories (65)
Jayson cleared his throat before proceeding to tell the best story he could create. "I have been to a place where everything is moving. They are people inside boxes and they do not seem to be bothered when I look at them in their places. People do not even need to walk as long as they have money.
"I got scolded back then because I tried to jump out of the moving platform. I think I had to be thankful for Rey because he stopped me."
"Who's Rey?" asked Kid.
"He is a reckless and immature person that needs a lot of guidance."
"Have you ever taught that there might be a reason why he acts that way?"
"Back then I have no idea."
Kid nodded. "Tell me more about your friends and the people there."
He realized that he doesn't want to talk about Rey anymore so maybe he could switch the topic to Annie. "Rey has a best friend named Annie. She let me stay at their house. As days pass I came to realize how it feels like to have a family... And being treated like one.
"Her mother is kind. She cooks three times a day and does every chore on her own. She even said that she is thankful that I moved into their house because I helped her a lot especially in cleaning."
"Woah, you did cleaning?"
"Yeah, as an appreciation."
"My first impression about you is that you are the type who focuses on your hobbies I thought that you rarely or never clean."
"They let me stay at their house so it is a normal thing to do. She even told me how Rey and Annie met; how much he trust Rey and also considers him as her child because he always stays at their house to be with Annie."
"Maybe he felt the same as you do! A home and a family. It seems like both of you share the longing for that kind of experience. That is why you are inclined in that house."
Jayson hated the fact he is put at the same level as Rey." I think that's enough for today."
"Then tomorrow again!"
He sighed. Jayson wanted to wake up now because he is starting to forget why he was here in the first place. He stood up and fix the creases on his shirt.
"Wait, I have another question to ask. About Lealyn." Kid stood up too.
"I was at their house."
"Have you tried touching things on the hut? Anything on the table and shelves."
"No. We do not touch anything."
"That's a relief. We just arrived this morning and she did not invite me to accompany her even I really, really want to welcome you here."
"What are you relieved from?"
"Well, you will know if you did touch them but I do not advise to do it. She will be really mad if you do so."
"I understand. Can I ask something about her too?"
"Is this about her parents? They died almost two years ago. Her mother has lung disease. She was sick for weeks and eventually die. Her father, on the other hand, drowned after the ship he was in sank."
"Where are their graves?"
"Their gravestones are at the back of the Lealyn's hut if you want to visit it."
