Hand Problems

Once upon a time, there was a table tennis player who forced her hand to be bent during a practice game. She felt pain every time he holds something so she resorted to using her non-dominant hand to get through the day. Whenever she does tiring movements in her hand, the pain comes back. From then on, she has to be careful because once she experienced it again, she won't be able to do the things she loves.

That is a short story about how I got this reoccurring hand problem when I draw too much. It did not originate from drawing but from table tennis instead. It is worse unlike back then because I only got pain in my palm but now, it reaches the back of my hand.

I messed up this week, I was drawing a full body art for Zhein and I forgot to do the occasional hand exercise that I used to do when I'm still doing Dashing Through Her Sky comics. I really want to finish that art within three days but I can't because on my second day, my hand is giving up.

It made me realize that art should not sacrifice my health. Just like in school works where I get sick whenever I feel stressed and did not get enough sleep. I'm not the only one getting affected, people around me too because I get annoyed easily. I do not want them to be worried so I will try to change this bad habit of mine where I do not take care of myself just to finish my projects.
