New Year's Resolution
A new year means a new start for others. I am one of them. I celebrated the new year not feeling well and it made me realize that I do not want it to happen again. I will take action to improve myself this new year. Here is the list of my goals:
1. Take care of myself better than last year
I have to admit, I messed up last year. I can't count on my fingers how many times I get sick. I really need professional help but we always have hiccups when it comes to medication. When I have my checkups again, I will try to be more responsible and buy the medicine myself then use the money I saved from December.
I will also try not to stress myself too much. I know I'm kind of a perfectionist to my school projects but if I want to prioritize my health, I have to learn not to give worries when they start blocking my goals in life. I still have a one-semester to go so I want to survive them in a healthier way.
I have to stop forgetting things like my vitamin C and water. A piece of advice from a classmate said that I should use an alarm so I won't forget to consume my vitamins. I will also download an application on my phone later to remind me to drink water because I get focused on what I'm doing too often that I forget to do the most basic things in my life.
Lastly, I want to get enough sleep. I want to sleep at 9 PM or if I slept in the afternoon, I want to rest at 10 PM. That way, I will wake up early and do my tasks such as cleaning and exercising. It will be hard because class starts at 8 AM so I have 2 hours less to do those things in addition to my breakfast but I will try my best to wake up early.
2. Continue to improve my skills
I will try to draw every day even just a sketch. I remember that I haven't drawn for a long time so I want to keep my control by doing it every day. It shouldn't take 10 minutes so I will try to draw on a small canvas.
Next is writing. I always write due to the strand and units I have this semester so that will be my training ground in both narrative and academic writing. I have already noticed my improvements in the last 2 years when I started taking this strand. I also write for this website so I will have more freedom to not be graded and enjoy the process. I just have to do my best and trust that I can improve it.
3. Responsible Adult
I'm actually an adult now. I do not know how to become one so I will ask adults around me for advice. I haven't finished collecting my valid IDs which is really needed when I want to have a job. Even just a sideline, I will take it because I really want to earn money. I want to help myself and my parents financially. They might say that I'm too young for that or I should focus on my studies but it doesn't matter, I genuinely want to help them.
