Bottle of Stories (1)

This story is originally written in Filipino.  I'm not good at English, but I translate it so everybody could read it.

There were two friends named Rey and Annie. In the classroom, they were seatmates and they always talk to each other like real best friends even there are opposite in gender because, more of their classmates consider their best friend should be like their gender but, these two? are like siblings. Even they like to tease each other, they are still best friends.

Minutes later, the teacher came. The students greet their teacher. Students notice the small transparent bottle with a small piece of paper in it. Annie raises her hand and asks.

Annie: “Excuse ma’am, what was that for?”

Teacher: “Oh this bottle? It is a gift from my grandmother. She said that this bottle has a curse. So, don’t ever try to open this because...”

Annie: “Because what?”

Teacher: “Something bad will happen!”

All of the students showed different reactions.

Teacher: “Hohoho! Don’t be scared, I’m just teasing you guys.”

Annie: (“Well, saying that with matching scary face is frightening.”)

She said on herself. Rey’s reaction was nothing but serious.

Teacher: Okay, Let’s proceed to our next lesson.

After a long hour, the class has ended. Rey talks to Annie.

Rey: “Don’t you think about what the teacher said? That bottle bothers me.”

Annie: “No”

Rey: “I make up my mind now. I’m going to open it!”

Rey runs leaving Annie left behind.

Annie: “Wait!”

Annie chases Rey until they reach the faculty room. Rey grabs the bottle that is placed on their Teacher’s desk and tries to open it.

Annie: “Hey! That is robbing. Ma’am may get us.”

Rey: “I want to know if she’s telling the truth.”

Annie: “Wait. You’re taking that seriously? It is only a joke.”

Rey: “Why? Are you scared?”

Annie: “Grrrrr! (Sigh...) Go ahead.”

Rey opens the bottle.

Rey: “See? Nothing happens.”

Annie ignored him. The entire object vanished. No, Annie and Rey vanished and they ended up being beside many barrels.
