Bottle of Stories (68)

In a few seconds of entering and exiting the hut, a month has passed in the present. Nothing has changed except their clothing and hairstyle.

"How is your hair?" the guardian of dreams asked.

Jayson finger-combed his shoulder-length hair. "Long enough to my liking."

"Good to hear that! We are walking close to the end so have a bit of patience."

They heard a sound of quarrel in the distance. Looks like it is coming from the main house of Lealyn so they decided to go there. They found a long and worm-like line of people in front of the house.

A man came out of the door and yelled, "I can finally walk!" He showed everyone his right leg with a thread mark.

The Guardian of Dreams excused everyone on the front door to let them in and he used the excuse that he knows Lealyn. Jayson felt guilty for his actions but thanks to him, he found Lealyn and Kid performing their operation while sitting on a chair.

Their patient is a baby who is almost blue and being held by Lealyn. She raised her hand holding a needle with a thread. She started swiping the air and at the same time, Kid is following her gestures using his pointer fingers but he goes in the opposite direction. When they stopped, the baby started crying,

Lealyn returned the baby to its mother. The mother tried to reach money to her but she refused it.

"Kid," called Jayson.

He stood and try to approach him. "Mr. Traveller! Are you here to tell me your adventure stories?”

"No, I'm here to tell you something important. You and Lealyn should stop using dark magic to cure others. The more you do this, the bigger the karma you get."

"We cannot stop. If Lealyn declines anyone, it will count as being harsh to her fellow humans. When that happens, her parents will vanish without a trace."

Lealyn's parents came inside and brought some meals they bought.

"Why cannot you do anything? You are powerful!"

"That is the consequence of having a contract with me: she will lose the thing she wished for." He rubbed his elbow.

"Excuse me, I'm not here to get cured but to observe the girl's supposed to be healing powers." A man with a coat approached Kid. He has neat clothes and has formal movements. "I'm somehow convinced. However, have you ever looked up some underlying side effects in your patients?"

"There are no side effects that can harm them but the mark will remain in their bodies whether it is external or internal," Lealyn explained.

"What is this contract you are talking about?" The man looked at Kid "Are you perhaps a spawn of the devil?"

"No, Mr. Doctor, Did you know that it is bad to listen to other people's conversation?" The kid said politely.

"Oh, no need to be shy, Kid." He sat down in front of Kid and lowered his voice. "You see, no one has been consulting my clinic ever since the news came about the girl who resurrected her parents. You are her asset to make that happen right? How about we make a contract?"

"I refuse Mr."

"No, no no, I'm not finished yet. If you give me the ability to heal anything, your patients will decrease and you will be able to rest. In exchange, I will sell my soul to you and I will cure your eyes because she cannot do it herself.

"I still refuse Mr. We appreciate that you wanted to help us, but I cannot grant you powers. Lealyn is talented to learn everything by herself. You can ask her to teach you but again, if you desire power that exceeds her, you asked the wrong person. There is a Guardian of Health: Sadly, you have no chance of calling her because, sorry for the word, you are arrogant and selfish. One must be selfless and go in a hopeless situation to call the Guardian of Health.

"What guardian are you?"

"Hey, stop giving information to him," Jayson interrupted

"But those who seek knowledge about Guardians should be entertained," Kid complained. "They say I'm the guardian of space, the one who facilitates everything that occupies space. However, I can only make paths that can make transfer faster despite the distance. Do you still believe me?"

The man nodded.

"Then I will recommend the guardians who can help you. Guardian of Dreams is right there; he can make everything come true using dreams. Guardian of Soul, she accepts souls and will also do anything to make your wish come true."

"Where can I find her?"

"Go into any cemetery, the more dead people lying there can increase the possibility of her appearing. Try calling her guardian of souls and by saying your offer.

"Are you sure that is going to work?'

"I’m telling the truth. You may also bring sweets for her to lure her a lot She will like it.

Then the man left after getting all the unworldly answers from Kid.

"I do not trust him," Jayson commented.

"Guardians have a soft heart for those who believe him," the guardian of Dreams explained. "Lealyn, thank you for letting us stay again. We will stroll for a while and come back later.

Jayson only followed the Guardian until he stopped and looked at him. "What now?"

"Whatever happens, don't ever make a deal with guardians. Don't ever mention the word to them. Nothing good..." He stopped moving before talking again. "So this is what happens when I'm unconscious. That is why it is taking too long. I'm tired from holding your hand so we should make it faster, shall we?"
